CHADS All-in Conversations

We appreciated having presenters from the CHADS Coalition for Mental Health come talk with our students about Empathy and Emotion Management this September. Presenters visited Team Water and Team Fire classes on September 23, and Team Earth and Team Air classes on September 30.These presentations should help reinforce what students are learning in their Second Step social emotional learning lessons. Within the CHADS presentations, students will become familiar with understanding different emotions and how to process them in positive, healthy ways. They also introduced the Acknowledge, Care, Tell (ACT®) technique to help students seek out a trusted adult if they struggle with managing their emotions.

If you are interested in learning more about CHADS Coalition please visit their website at www.chadscoalition.org. They are also hosting a free ALL IN Conversations for parents and the community on the first Tuesday of the month.  Click Here to see their full schedule. Their next one is scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, from 6:00-7:00pm, and they will be talking about Bullying Prevention month and discussing ways to advocate for your child and how to work with schools.
